Under da Sea

That's where we were this weekend. Under the sea. AND part of the safety/don't touch the animals, brah video had a ripped off version of "Under the Sea" (from The Little Mermaid) as the theme.
By the way, the only reason I got to watch that movie as a kid (my dad dislikes Disney) was because I stayed in the hospital over night with my arm surgery and they told me I could watch movies all night...I was 5...of course I watched movies as long as I could keep my eyes open...and then got super freaked out by Ursula and called the nurse for some chocolate ice cream....man, looking back, that wasn't so bad at all.
Anyway.

Saturday we went with a bunch of people (that we did not take pictures of...we're so self-centered) out to Hanuama Bay to go snorkeling. It was BEAUTIFUL to say the least and I almost feel bad for posting pictures of what we do on the weekends here. I still can't believe we live in Hawaii!
Here's me and Billy...blowing bubbles, apparently..

Here I am with my FAVORITE ANIMAL the Sea Turtle. I seriously can't believe we got to see one of these. I never thought I'd swim with a sea turtle in captivity, let alone IN THE WILD!

This next picture is of part of the crater next to Hanauma Bay...and this doesn't even begin to show the beauty of it. I'll have to get a better picture next time we go...it's gorgeous! Especially for a crater!

And, of course, us with a humuhumunukunukuapua'a. Which happens to be Billy's new favorite fish AND the state fish of Hawaii. I know. Awesome. haha

So that was our under water adventure.
The next day we were able to go out to the chapel here and I thoroughly enjoyed myself! The people were all so sweet and welcoming and kept saying what a blessing we are because they need more young people. I think I'm most comfortable around elderly people (or maybe I just have a lot of experience) so I felt right at home. Plus, it's amazing, isn't it, how we can come from such different walks of life and even more different cultural backgrounds (most of the people are Japanese) and still worship the one true God, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ? I don't know about you, but that's proof enough right there to show that our God truly does reign!
I'm always reminded of the togetherness we have  at Camp...so many different people but it works because we all have the same Lord and the same goal in mind...which reminds me: I miss camp.

We're still getting our house in order. I have posted some pictures on Facebook...I dunno, even though we don't have much I'm loving being able to make our own home. The Lord really has blessed us!
OH! AND (speaking of blessings) I'm typing this from our living room! The internet guy came today and even took his shoes off to come in the house!
I'm so thankful for internet right now it's ridiculous...oh how reliant I have allowed myself to become......

Anyway, Mr. Husband will be back from PT soon and I need to be having dinner on my mind!

As always,
The Forecaster's Wife
